Hammer Springs is 133.4km (1 hour 50 minutes) from Christchurch on State Highway 7. It is known for the Thermal Pools and Spa and the surrounding area is home to many other activities.

When is a good time to visit?
Good times to visit: Summer because it is warm, you can enjoy the hot pools, hydroslide, lazy river and go mountain biking. Winter because you can see snow, skiing, sit in hot pools with snow. Tik Tok

WALT: Write an explanation

Success Criteria
*Has correct structure
*Relates to the topic
*Ends with a concluding statement

Intro
What is it? - Definition

Tik Tok (previously known as Musical.ly) is one of the most popular apps ever, it is a platform designed for creating, sharing and discovering 15-60 second long videos which people use to express themselves. It is known for the use of popular songs being lip-synced to, dancing, comedy acts, story-times and POV’s (point of views).

Body
Description

Where did it come from and who created it?

The app Musical.ly was bought in November 2017 by Chinese developer ByteDance, for markets outside of China. In August 2018 they merged with the app VideoStar and rebranded the app to TikTok. TikTok is not available in China however the app Douiyn is the TikTok equivalent app in China, and its servers are based in countries where the app is available. TikTok owner ByteDance is a $75 billion Chinese tech giant. At the beginning of 2019 it had 188 million new users.

Who uses it and how did it become successful?

TikTok is available in 154 countries worldwide with 500 million users. 41% of users are aged between the age of 16-24, 55.6% of users are Male and 44.4% are female. India has many users (which is interesting because it is banned in India), and accounts for approximately 25% of app downloads. TikTok is intended for 13+ users according to the app's community guidelines. The app can be safe for teens with proper parental guidance. It is successful because social media is a big thing these days and young people are embracing it because it is easy to use and entertaining.

It became successful due to the rise of social media through the use of phones and devices. TikTok’s success is largely due to the popularity of Musical.ly. It is currently the most popular app in the USA with over 26 million monthly active users. There are many famous people that use the app such as; Britney Spears, Will Smith, Gordon Ramsay and The Rock. These famous celebrities bring attention to the app from their reputations and fan following.

Where and why did it get banned?

TikTok has been banned in two different countries; India and Indonesia. In both countries the governments felt that it encouraged inappropriate content and was targeting youth and children. Both countries rescinded the bans after TikTok implemented safety protocols and age verification policies. Currently TikTok is not banned in any countries.

How do you use it?

1. Download the app and sign up.

2. Set up your profile.

3. View the video feed.

4. Like, comment, or share videos you enjoy.

5. Search for videos.

6. Follow users via videos. search, or TikCode. (Every profile has a code that can be used to copy and paste and it will take the user to their profile.)

7. Set up your shot and pick out special effects.

8. Record the video.

9. Post the video (to the public or to your friends) or save it to your drafts.

Conclusion

TikTok is an educational and entertainment app and you can learn from the videos and enjoy them. TikTok is one of the most popular and most used social media apps currently in the world. Give it a try and see if you like it.

My opinion towards Tik Tok is i like to watch them but not as much to make them. i made a few tiktoks with my cousin but besides from that I just watch them. I think it's good that people post tiktoks because they are sharing their dance moves with the rest of the world.

One morning in Florida, in 1984, Nora and her family were packing the car for a day trip to the carnival.
Nora was stuffing the picnic basket and filled it up with salami, bread rolls, 2 big packets of chips for the family, juice boxes for everyone, and some lollies for a snack on the way. When she was finished packing the basket, she put it in the boot of the car. Then she went back inside to get her jacket and go to the toilet. She heard the car start, but she had to go, she was busting! There were no other options. When she finished she came out to get in the car, but it wasn't there!

There were no cars in sight, every car from her street has disappeared! She ran down her street and tried to find someone to help her. Then she sprinted back to the house to get the food because she thought she might get hungry. She wondered if her parents may have started going to the carnival? But the carnival was ages away, so she would have to try and walk.

She started walking down the scary streets of emptiness. She walked past her friend's house, her friend's name was Emma Emma was very tall, as tall as a giraffe. She had hair that dragged down to her ankles. Nora saw something move, so she slowly crept up the driveway and saw her friend sitting on the couch looking scared. Emma was going to the carnival too, so they walked to the carnival together, in hope that they would find their parents. In the end they made it to the carnival and found their parents and realised they just accidentally left without her and lived happily ever after. Nora felt relieved and kind of angry that her parents would forget her. She vowed that she would never trust her parents again.

Sacred

Something sacred is holy, devoted to a religious ceremony, or simply worthy of awe and respect. ... Sacred is an adjective used to describe a person or thing worthy of worship or declared holy. It usually appears in a religious context, but an object or place set aside for a particular purpose can also be sacred. This weeks virtue is Sacred. We had to make a blog post about something that is sacred. I decided to choose the cross because it is sacred

storystarter

I used storystarter to help me come up with something to write
I'm Writing A little story about a skinny witch Who eats toast for every meal.

Every morning she gets out of bed she is very tall and skinny. So most mornings when she gets up she is still half asleep so she smacks her head on the roof and kooks her scary hat of. She has a long nose, pimples, warts all over her nose and face. Se where's  creepy Purple robes day and night. One day she was cruising the streets of Dubai and laughed and everybody started walking around her and most  got scared That shows how creepy And scary her laugh is. Talking about scary if you see her head without her hat on I think you would get more scared it has nits crawling through it And there is dirt falling out everywhere.
She loves toast because it makes her fell good and Pretty on the inside but on the Outside it doesn't change anything. She word Eat endless amounts of toast if she could but there's only a certain amount of bread you can buy from the supermarket she goes to the end.

Paragraphs

              WALT: Use PARAGRAPHS                          Date:23/9/19

Subject of paragraph:  Football

WALT: practice writing in paragraphs.

Personal Goal: To use paragraphs

These are some of the best players of football: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and
Gareth Bale. These football players are so good because they train really hard and do no't give up when it gets a little hard or they are tired.

Paragraph 2
These are some of the best teams and some of my favourite teams from around the World: Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United. These teams are really good because the players train hard and can work together well.

Paragraph 3
In football every 4 years there is a Football World Cup to see who is the best team.
In 2018 France won the World Cup. The final was a close game between France and Croatia, but in the end France won. The last game was late at night (NZ time) so I got up to watch it, but I fell asleep at half time! When the game started again I woke up and I could barely open my eyes, but I still got to watch the rest of the game.
